Oval-8® CLEAR splints blend in with all skin tones and can be turned on the finger to keep mallet or jammed fingers straight; limit motion to stop trigger finger and trigger thumb; control hypermobility and protect and rest crooked fingers.

Are the Oval-8® CLEAR Splints the same as the BEIGE Splints?

The New Oval-8® Clear Finger Splints provide the same easy-to-wear, comfortable support and features as the classic beige Oval-8 Splints.

Both the Classic Beige splints and the new Clear splints are made in the same molds, but they are made from different materials.

• Beige splints are 100% Polypropylene and Clear splints are made from Copolyester.
• There may be minor variations in sizing, but adjustments can be made to assure a proper fit.
• The Clear splints are more resistant to bending and it is best to avoid repeatedly stressing the splints.

When Would an Oval-8® Finger Splint be Used?

The Oval-8® finger splint can be used for 7 conditions:

• Mallet Finger
• Boutonniere
• Trigger Finger
• Trigger Thumb
• Swan Neck / Hypermobility
• Crooked Finger
• Osteoarthritic DIP/PIP Joints

Can I change how an Oval-8® Finger Splint Fits?

Yes! By putting the end with the plus (+) sign on first, the Oval-8® creates a looser fit, or by turning it around, it can create a tighter fit.

Can Oval-8® Splints be adjusted?

• Both the Beige and Oval-8® Clear splints can be adjusted with a heat gun with a narrow nozzle.
• Clear splints require less heating time (2-3 seconds) than the Beige (3-4 seconds) and require less pressure to alter the splint.

How long will Oval-8® Splints last?

How the splints are worn and used will determine how long the splints last. The Beige splints have been proven to last for several years of daily use. It is not yet known how long the CLEAR splints will last.

Does the Oval-8® Finger Splint Contain Latex?

No natural rubber latex was used in the product or packaging.

Where Can I Purchase the Oval-8® Finger Splints?

Available in single size packages of 1 or 5 splints  Kit not available with Clear splints.

Graduated Sets (3 sizes) and Combo Sets (5 sizes) offer a mix of sizes for changing finger needs.

The Sizing Set, with one of each of the 14 sizes, accurately finds the correct size for patients.
