Do you have an Orthotic patient service? show

Yes. We have facilities in Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane with fully qualified Orthotists who can help if you are a patient.

Do you have a Prosthetic patient service? show

Yes. We have Prosthetic facilities in Adelaide (Prostek) and Brisbane (Brisbane Prosthetics and Orthotics) with fully qualified Prosthetists who can help if you are an amputee. For clients located in other areas, we recommend that you contact your local Rehabilitation provider, or the Australian Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA). 

Will I be charged a Consultation Fee? show

OPC charges a one-off Patient Consultation Fee of $55.00 (incl GST) payable on the date of your appointment. This charge is applicable for an Initial Assessment, Fitting or Evaluation Appointment, irrespective of an Orthosis Prescription. This Patient Consultation Fee is not refundable through any Funded Program.

The Patient Consulation Fee amount is deducted from the Payable Balance for any Orthosis prescribed, or Service provided.

Do I need a referral to see an orthotist? show

No, although it can be helpful if you have a complicated medical history.

I have been trying to call your office, why do I keep getting an Answering Machine? show

All phone calls for OPC Sales Offices in other states are diverted to our national head office when not staffed. OPC head office is based in Melbourne. We apologise for any inconvenience that daylight savings and national time differences may have on our customers. Our general hours of trade are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm AEDST. On occasion, the office is staffed for extended hours. Should you wish to make an order, or account payment or enquiry out of normal office hours, we recommend registering for our Online Service (click here to download the registration form), or communicate by fax or email.

Do you sell direct to the public? show

OPC now has an Online Product Catalogue and Shopping facility, where the general public can purchased items though our secure site. Some of our products are intended for specialised Medical applications and may not be suitable or safe for the sale to the General Public. OPC reserves the right to decline the sale of these products and will advise upon the time of purchase.

OPC offers a separate direct ordering system to existing Wholesale Customers. Wholesale Customers must register for access into the Direct Ordering system.

Do you have a range of knee braces? show

Yes, we a national agents for Townsend Design who are world leaders with the best range of knee braces including ready to fit and specialized custom made knee braces.

How do I know what size brace to order? show

Speak to Paul Coleman our Orthotic and Prosthetic product specialist if you need help with sizing, or alternatively we have sizing charts on our website with most of our products.

Do you offer recalibration services or repairs for Evaluation equipment such as Dynamometers or Pinch Gauges? show

OPC do not have a Service Department for the repair of Evaluation Equipment. OPC recommends the services of HK Calibrations for all repairs and calibrations of Dynamometers and Pinch Gauges.

HK Calibrations Head Office is located in North Rocks, NSW. Please call them directly on 1300 309 881. They have a network of offices nationally.

How do I know if a product is in stock? show

Products marked in stock ('YES' in pricing table) are ready for immediate shipping from our Port Melbourne warehouse. In the case where "No" appears in the Available column of the product pricing table, either we are waiting for a shipment from a supplier or the product must be special ordered. In either case you will be notified by phone with an estimated delivery date after placing your order.

Pricing, Payments & GST

Am I looking at Wholesale or RRP? show

Our online catalogue has two formats; RRP and Wholesale. RRP is the default setting and is open to the general public to browse and purchase items at reccommended retail prices. You are viewing RRP if you see RRP(AUD) in the pricing table.

The Wholesale system can only be accessed by registered OPC Health customers who have provided an ABN and have been granted access. You must login to the system using your unique username and password to view Wholesale prices. These prices are indicated in the pricing table by WSP(AUD). To obtain access as a wholesale customer, please contact OPC Health.

Items that must be prescribed by a practitioner or have the potential to be misused have been blocked to retail users in the interest of public safety.

Why is the price showing $0.00? show is a distribution site for both retail and wholesale products. Among the thousands of products OPC Health supplies many of these are specific to the Allied Health and Prosthetic and Orthotic industries. Most of these items do not display a RRP ($0.00 will appear) as we currently do not supply them direct to the retail market. Please Login to view wholesale pricing.

I am a practitioner, how do I access Wholesale and Special Pricing? show

To access OPC Health wholesale pricing, businesses with an ABN are required to register their details and be supplied with an online account. Please download this form and return to [email protected] to register.

Wholesale account holders are able to view Monthly Specials and customer special pricing (if applicable).

Should any item price read $0.00 in the pricing table when you are logged in to your online account, please contact OPC Health via email: [email protected] or 1800 809 635 (Melb 03 9681 9666) to check availability.

I have a wholesale account, why is your site asking me to enter credit card details for payment? show

Wholesale customers using a registered online account login are not required to enter credit card details at the checkout. If you are asked to enter a credit card for payment, you are not logged in to our site. Click login and enter your details.

How is GST displayed on your website? It appears on some items and not others. show

GST is applicable on some items in the OPC Health range. GST status is always noted next to the price or in the pricing table. 'ex GST' indicate GST is applicable. The GST will be calculated in the Shopping Cart when you checkout. Products that are GST exempt are noted with “GST exempt”.


Shipping & Delivery

What freight method does OPC Health use? show

The standard shipping method for all orders placed through is Australia Post Registered Post. Due to the high value of our products, this is currently the only available option for online orders. We use this premium service to ensure fast and safe delivery of your goods.

Standard online freight is $12.10. Orders over 20kg will be charged an additional freight fee. We will contact you before your item(s) are shipped to confirm this charge.

If you are a health practitioner with an ABN, contact us for your online shipping rates. 

How long will my order take to arrive? show

For items in stock, orders placed before 3pm Mon-Fri will be shipped the same day. Please see approximate delivery times below. 

 Melbourne Metro: 1-2 business days    Regional Victoria: 2-3 business days
 New South Wales: 3-4 business days    South Australia: 3-4 business days
 Australian Capital Territory: 3-4 business days    Queensland: 3-4 business days
 Tasmania: 3-5 business days    Western Australia: 5-7 business days
 Northern Territory: 5-7 business days

Can I check the status of my order? show

Yes, your order history is listed in 'My Account'. If you have any queries about the status of an order, your intended delivery address or items on backorder contact OPC Health Customer Service on [email protected], 03 9681 9666 or 1800 809 635 (outside Melbourne metro).

My order still hasn't arrived, what can I do? show

Please call Customer Service on 03 9681 9666 or 1800 809 635 (outside Melbourne metro) if your order does not arrive within the time frame for your area listed above.

Wholesale Customers

How do I set up a Wholesale Account? show

To register for an OPC Wholesale Online Account, please download this form and return to [email protected] or fax to 03 9681 9366. Please note only ABN registered customers are eligible for wholesale access.

How do I change my account details? show

Your password can be changed in the My Account section of your Wholesale Login. Please contact Customer Service [email protected] or 03 9681 9666 if you would like to add additional delivery addresses, change your username, email, phone number or business name.

How can I access account information including invoices? show

Your Wholesale Account gives you the option to view, print or pay invoices. Go to the My Account area after you have logged on and select Purchase History to view and print invoices and credits, Order Inquiry to see the status of your orders and Pay My Account to view your balance and pay invoices securely with a credit card.
