The Method TA™ AFO is a prefabricated, custom- fit orthotic solution that can be used to treat a broad range of pathologic gait abnormalities in stroke, CP, MMC, CMT and other complex neuromotor disorders.
The off the shelf, modular device incorporates a unilateral Becker Triple Action Adult small joint to allow infinite adjustment to improve your patient’s gait.
The Method TA ™ is an adaptation of the Triple Action Gait Evaluation Orthosis (GEO) device after feedback requesting a definitive device just like the GEO.
Features:
- Advanced prepreg carbon composite designed to take full advantage of the Triple Action® multi-function ankle joint
- Premium Triple Action® multi-function ankle component with independent alignment, resistance threshold adjustment and adjustable spring stiffness
- Rigid anterior shell with lateral component and supramalleolar extension to resist foot and ankle postural abnormalities
- Prepreg flat footplate fits patients preferred shoe and provides rollover and energy return for more efficient gait
- Easy-don, tibial strap with thumb loop and static chafe for one-handed donning
- Soil resistant adjustable / movable liners for comfortable all-day use

Tuning Procedure:
The Method TA ™ facilitates application of Becker’s Systematic Tuning Procedure™ for Triple Action ankle joints and provides simple instructions to quickly fit and optimise the orthosis. Our research based tuning method standardises and simplifies the tuning process while providing an effective orthotic solution that clinicians can deliver in less time, without the time waste of technical challenges that can sometimes distract from the clinical aspects of patient care.
