Our feet produce approximately one cup of sweat per day inside our shoes, creating a breeding ground for the growth of bacteria and fungi. This can lead to Tinea pedis (athlete’s foot) and Onychomycosis (nail fungus), caused by the consumption of dead skin cells by these microorganisms. What types of microorganisms does Clean Sweep® kill?
Clean Sweep® will begin to eliminate 99.9% of odor-causing fungi and bacteria on contact. Clean Sweep® kills 650 different types of bacteria and mos fungi, including the fungus Trichophyton. 

How Is Clean Sweep® different from other Antimicrobial or Anti-Odor products for shoes?
Clean Sweep® is not like other antimicrobial products. First, Clean Sweep® is not just an antimicrobial - it happens to be the best antimicrobial product available, because it activates by you wearing your shoes. As your feet begin to sweat the moisture activates the silver in Clean Sweep® to kill the organisms in your shoes that cause odor. Second, Clean Sweep® is non-toxic, noncaustic, non-flammable, and odorless which other anti-odor or antimicrobial products may not be. Clean Sweep® will not emit chemicals that may be harmful to patients with allergies or multiple chemical sensitivity. Third, Clean Sweep® does not alter the breathability, washability, wear profile, or feel of the treated material.

Will Clean Sweep® prevent odor permanently?
Once the odor is gone, Clean Sweep® will continue to provide antimicrobial protection until it wears off. 

How many treatments does a bottle of Clean Sweep® contain?
Clean Sweep® will treat 6 to 8 pairs of shoes. Once treated, your shoes should not need to be treated again for 4 to 6 months. Simply treat again if the odor returns. Your perspiration activates the antimicrobial shield of Clean Sweep®, releasing silver ions which eradicate odor causing bacteria, fungus, and mold.

Foot Care Routine

• Wash feet thoroughly and dry completely after washing.
• Soak your feet at least once a week/clip your toenails
• Use Kamea® & Pumice Stone to reduce callus
• Dry well between toes 

Shoe Smarts

• Choose materials that breathe and socks that wick moisture away from your feet
• Avoid wearing rubber or plastic shoes and nylon socks which can cause perspiration and bacterial vactivity
• Use Clean Sweep® for a safe, non toxic way to kill bacteria and fungi to neutralize shoe odor and fungal growth. The shoes will become odor and microbe- free, typically for 4- 6 months
• Change socks daily
