LEIPZIG REHABILITATION SHOE

Designed as an extra depth rehabilitation shoe, the Leipzig has a nylon fully lined upper, a flexible sole and 3 removable insoles. The upper insole is latex and both lower insoles are EVA. The patient can wear the shoe with wound dressings as the volume of the shoe can be adjusted via the touch tape fasteners. There is also a zipper in the Achilles tendon area for easy donning and doffing of the shoe.

The inner shoe length (C) was measured from the middle of the heel area to the middle of the big toe with a standard measurement device. The inner shoe widths were measured at the insole. We measured from the toe cap and drew a crossline at 1/3 of the insole for the inner shoe width in ball area. At this right-angled straight line, a 15° angle was measured. The resulting line was where we measured the inner shoe width in ball area (A). The inner shoe width in heel area (B) was measured at the level of the middle of the heel.
