Offering Comfort and Easy Adjustability for Foot Drop

The Dictus Band and Dictus Flex are designed to dorsiflex the foot making it suitable for flaccid foot drop with minimal ankle instability.

DICTUS FLEX

The Flex is the latest addition to the Dictus family. Maintaining the leather construction and multi-hook compatibility, it features a unique Elastic ‘Flex’ band. This band has added Velcro pads which enables users to easily customise the tension on the band by moving it further around the ankle. This also offers another method to don the device which may be easier for those with hand dexterity issues.  

DICTUS BAND

The Dictus Band and Dictus Flex differ slightly in the construction of the band. The Dictus Band utilises a latex band that is attached to the leather ankle cuff. Latex bands are much more durable than elastic and the direct ankle cuff attachment facilitates a more streamlined don/doff for those who want simplicity. 

 
To increase toe lift, move steel hooks further down the foot towards the toes. For gentle foot lift, have the hooks high in the laces.
If your patient has equinovarus, loop the latex band over the steel hook on the outside of the foot only to force the medial aspect down to the floor.
